It’s that time of year again. Time to buy our little classroom angels a Christmas gift, and like a true teacher, you are probably going to buy them a book. Both charitable and educational, how thoughtful of you!

Well, I have good and bad news for you. The bad news first, Scholastic is advertising its gift books for $1.50. You know it had to happen. The good news, some of the search options still show the books as $1! I have searched and scoured the website to find you the best gift worthy books of 2019!

Scholastic Book Clubs

If you are not already a member of Scholastic Book Clubs, I HIGHLY recommend it. Straight from the Scholastic website, here is how it works:

How Book Clubs Works. Teachers send home. book flyers with many. more books available. online. Kids choose books, and parents submit orders to teacher. Teachers submit class. orders to Scholastic & get FREE Books & resources for the class. The Book Box arrives. in class, and teacher. distributes student book. orders.

Each year, I am able to “buy” at least 50, sometimes 150 books for my classroom library thanks to the generosity of my families and the wonderful system of Scholastic Book Clubs. These purchases don’t cost me a dime (unless I decide to buy a few extra books that the kids really want… which let’s be honest, is EVERY order).
